OUR APPROACH

Education that inspires.
Experiences that connect.

At Living Learning, we believe great educational experiences have the power to spark curiosity, deepen understanding and create lasting connections.

Founded by a qualified teacher with hands-on experience in wildlife attractions, conservation education and visitor engagement, Living Learning provides specialist education consultancy to zoos, aquariums, museums, heritage sites, nature and learning spaces across the UK.

Combining educational expertise with a practical understanding of how attractions operate, we help organisations create engaging, purposeful and sustainable learning experiences that build understanding, connection and conservation action - with practical ways to measure and evidence their impact.

We start by listening. To your ambitions, your challenges and the people who know your place best. Together, we explore how learning can reflect your purpose and help your audiences connect with the stories you share.

MEET THE FOUNDER

The person behind Living Learning

Hi, I'm Louise - the founder of Living Learning! I'm a qualified teacher with a background in geography, conservation and education, and a real passion for helping people connect with the natural world.

Learning has taken me across the world. Half Norwegian, and having lived in the Middle East as part of my childhood, I understood early that the world is bigger than one classroom window - a curiosity that has carried me ever since.

My career has taken me from teaching in primary classrooms to leading education and conservation programmes at a major London aquarium, as well as working with charities to support projects making a positive difference. Along the way, I've designed engaging workshops, events and curriculum-linked resources, trained education teams, created visitor experiences and brought conservation stories to life.

Having worked on both sides of the learning experience, I understand what audiences and education teams are looking for - and the challenges attractions face in delivering something that's engaging, meaningful and practical. I believe the best learning experiences should spark curiosity, build understanding and leave people feeling inspired, whatever their age or ability.

I started Living Learning to bring together my experience in teaching, conservation and visitor attractions, helping zoos, aquariums, wildlife parks and other attractions across the UK make the most of their educational potential. Whether that's refreshing an existing programme, developing something completely new or supporting the people who deliver it, my approach is always collaborative, creative and grounded in what works in practice.

For me, great education doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it's simply about finding the right way to tell a story, ask a question, or create a moment that stays with someone long after their visit.
